The movie "To Die in Jerusalem" by Hilla Medalia http://www.todieinjerusalem.com/ inspired me to dig up this poem I wrote and post it here.

BE HERE NOW

Let's create an intention
in gratitude for life.
Yes, life itself!
For our planet Earth,
and every being on it!
For lessons we encounter
on our path.
Particularly the ones
on well being:
observing our thoughts
and the realization that
we find our true self
in the void
between our thoughts

If only we ACCEPT all feelings
with courage and compassion
instead of
endlessly trying
to escape them
we recognize that we
ourselves are
the quietly observing
peace within
between our thoughts
and body thoughts
which feelings are

Once we observe
the peace within
the spaces that connect
us to all that is
we have found freedom
the only cost is letting go
of shame and guilt
and the illusion of separation
so we can see
the ego self that tricks us
into thinking
we are what we think
and feel

Once we see our ego
feeding into the illusion
of separation
of time -past and future-
creating pandemonium and fear
we can embrace it like
a child that needs
someone to connect, smile and
show new ways
to allow LOVE to be

Let's LISTEN in gratitude

for our breath;

Resplendent voice of our soul

in rhythmic silent prayer

connecting in pure vibration with
our universe
embracing infinite galaxies
every beating heart
and every living cell
in loving support of all that is

Let's SEE the possibility
that every being
is enlightened
and that many of us are just
distracted
by entertaining thoughts
and invested emotions

Let's ALLOW that every being
can be in joy in themselves
by surrendering into BEING

connected
in peace
NOW

Being fully present now
mind , heart,
body and soul
Let's work, play, sing and dance
together
with courage and compassion
honoring Oneness
and well being
step by step
moment by moment
keeping our focus
HERE - NOW!
